Perking Up Your Study Habits During Examination Period.

The pressure that students have to go through before exam week can be truly serious indeed. It is normal for students to begin studying as early as a week or two before the actual exams.Others indulge in less sensible pursuits like caffeine-boosting, smoking or unrestrained television watching–all done to relieve the tension.They study till late at night and sometimes might not sleep at all which leads to a demeaning performance overtime. A change in their study habits is definitely called for.So, how do we go about it?
Get hold of your course syllabus. This will help them evaluate their knowledge base of the subject on a regular basis and also aid them to know when they should start studying before the tests.
Prior to the exam week, form a list of subjects you’re having problems with and ask for assistance from your teachers.
Coffee and cigarettes don’t do anything for you. They are a definite no-no. Caffeine stimulates the body to work with nominal sleep but a quantity of this will unavoidably lead to weariness which will cause your brain performance to drop at the time when you need it to perform at its best.
It’s ok to take a little intermission by watching tv as long as you have a set length of time. Surfing aimlessly through channels and broadcasts often results to squandering of time which is of the utmost importance during exams.
Pupils should prefer a healthy diet before the examinations. Eating lots of grains and drink fresh fruit juices is often recommended.
Make a schedule which allows you to study and leave some free time to indulge in a sport or any physical activity.
